Our Story with Stressless

I purchased Kool Aldo (Aldo) about 2 years ago when he was 12.  He’s a big beautiful chestnut Irish Sport Horse Gelding at 17+ hands.  His career had been eventing with a very elite trainer.  Somewhere along the way he lost his confidence and refused to jump.  When I first purchased Aldo, he was spooky, but I had no idea how spooky he really was until I got to know him better.  One day I was carrying a brightly colored grooming brush out of the tack room and he reared up, broke out of the cross ties and kept running like he’d seen a ghost.   At that point I’d only ride him in the presence of my trainer.  I was scared to death of him.

As my training with Aldo progressed we bonded more and trusted each other more but there was still this uneasiness about him.  He had a hard time focusing during our training sessions which made him more challenging to ride.  I began showing him in Dressage shows, he was tense but as soon as we got in the arena he’d literally become a ball of nerves.  I had a difficult time containing him and keeping my composure through the test.

Stressless has completely changed my relationship with Aldo.  He’s always been a sweet horse but now he’s a sweet, calm, goofball of a horse.  Everyone loves him, his personality shines through now.  He’s more focused so our training has improved immensely.  I’m a much more confident rider as well knowing he’s on Stressless.  I’m no longer afraid of what he might spook at!  He’s still a little spooky but he recovers much quicker and is very easy to calm down.  Before Stressless Aldo was afraid of anything that looked like something he may have jumped in the past.  I recently took him to an obstacle course training clinic and he managed to concur every obstacle without a problem!  I was so proud of him!

Kool Aldo and I have come a long way in 2 years.  I take Aldo everywhere now and don’t worry about how he’s going to react.  I feel so much more confident around him knowing he’s on Stressless!   You can purchase Stressless at https://equinesl.com
